New Learning Systems

Designing, testing, and scaling how learning works

Research at the College of Lifetime Learning advances the science and practice of learning systems across the full arc of life. Drawing on expertise from across Georgia Tech, we explore how learning can be designed, measured, and improved to expand access, reduce friction, and increase impact. Our work brings together learning science, technology, and real-world application to deepen understanding, support innovation, and translate insight into practice, helping education better serve learners, organizations, and communities over time.

Our research agenda is intentionally dynamic. By studying learning in practice and at scale, we generate insights that inform new initiatives, guide innovation, and shape the College’s thought leadership. This work helps ensure that what we build is grounded in evidence, responsive to change, and focused on real outcomes for learners and society.
